Soccer Expert Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Murs in Premier League Predictions

The Gunners' 10-game winning streak came to an end by the Black Cats prior to the international break, however will the Premier League frontrunners recover against north London rivals Tottenham this weekend?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," stated football expert Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will try to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still find a way to win."

Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, versus AI, fans and a variety of special visitors.

For week 12, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.

Murs' new album, Knees Up, is available on the weekend.

Soccer and Family Experiences

Murs is a skilled soccer player as well as a successful singer and has been a featured player of multiple charity football games over time - but he is not planning a professional comeback as a footballer.

"{I recently played in a benefit game the other evening for a mate of mine," he said. "My team was losing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!

"I still love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it seriously again.

"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my daughter or boy chooses to play instead."

Murs and his wife Amelia Tank have a young family, Madison and Albert, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their coach.

"I will not force football on our kids but I've previously told my wife that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be managing their Saturday football team," he added.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly was involved with a football club for a while too.

"My dad coached with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our side for two or three years and had great fun with it. That could be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Top Division Forecasts

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea might have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's comeback from fitness issues but their offense is already more potent with Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.

In my opinion this game will be quite tight, though. The Clarets are well organised and their sole home losses so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.

This smells of a one-all draw to me, but I am actually going to go with Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third league win in a row.

Sutton's prediction: 1-2

Olly's pick: The Blues will be superior. 1-3

AI's prediction: 0-2

The Cherries have been defeated in their previous couple games - although both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.

In contrast, the Hammers secured back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they appear competitive again.

The Hammers' only away win this season came at Forest in the summer, when West Ham manager Nuno was previously Forest coach.

So, what on earth do I predict here - can West Ham continuing their run under Nuno, or the home side bouncing back?

I am going to choose the Cherries, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a anomaly.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

The guest's prediction: Bournemouth are doing well but West Ham have improved under Nuno. 2-2

AI's pick: 1-1

The Bees were seen as one of the frontrunners for relegation before the campaign started, but they have surprised a few people under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three wins in their past four matches.

A family member advised me to get Brentford forward Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.

Thiago will probably find the net again on the weekend but I am still not going to pick him or support the away side at Brighton's ground.

They have not had much fortune on the road this term, and Brighton are always decent at home. Brentford will attempt to hit them on the break but I think Fabian Hurzeler's side pose much more of a threat.

The analyst's forecast: 2-1

Olly's view: This could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a lot of scores but it in reality proves to be quite tight. 1-1

The computer's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a huge game for Fulham, who have lost five of their past six matches.

They have got lots of quality in their squad but it nonetheless feels like they could be dragged into a drop zone battle.

As for Sunderland, indeed they are the surprise package of the top flight campaign so far.

The away side's display in the 2-2 draw with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We've not witnessed any other team rough up the Gunners like that this term, and they were fully competitive for them.

The sensible thing would be to back the visitors here, because they are obviously able of disrupting Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they defeated Chelsea at the close of last month.

However I am not do that. Rather, I really need to continue going against the away team with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their positive results because they clearly enjoy to defy my predictions.

Looking at Fulham's home form, the only side they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Marco Silva's side will be extremely desperate for a good result, so I am going to predict they will secure three much-needed points.

The expert's prediction: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I know the visitors are doing well and additionally that Fulham are on a bad run... but they have nonetheless been respectable at Craven Cottage this season. 2-0

AI's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a tough fixture to call. The Reds have suffered seven of their last ten games in every tournament, but might they be among the sides who profit from the {international break|
