The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Has Died in a Los Angeles Traffic Collision

Vince Zampella, who helped create the immensely successful video game Call of Duty, has tragically died in a car accident in Los Angeles, California at the age of 55.

His passing was announced by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the development studio which he helped establish.

The renowned video game developer lost his life when his vehicle was involved in a crash and burst into flames on a freeway in the Los Angeles area on this past Sunday, US media outlets report.

"This is a devastating loss, and we stand with Vince's loved ones, those closest to him, and all those touched by his creative vision," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts commented.
