The Gruesome Cartoon Film Ending That Haunts Audiences
Out of all the adult-oriented cartoon movies I’ve personally watched, no other has stuck with me quite like the fear-filled conclusion of a viscerally violent and deeply subversive 2022 movie Unicorn Wars.
Back in the year 2015, the Spain-based filmmaker crafted a dark, bleak and frequently brutal world that included some tiny , forlorn twinges of optimism.
While Unicorn Wars appears as it came from an impulse to advance animation further, the director stated that it was rather an effort to convey a global, cross-cultural message regarding “the shared root of each battle.”
That idea is conveyed via a group of brightly hued teddy bears , openly based on a popular line of lovable characters.

Unicorn Wars starts out feeling a bit like one of the more whimsical films by a legendary filmmaker, that uncover a naughty glee in permitting animated figures curse, fire weapons, or sex each other up.
Afterward it evolves into closer to a more grim movie by that same artist, including ever more explicit brutality , a tangible connection to genuine horror of war.
In the finale, it becomes a complete extreme drama carnage.
The terror that turns the film a Halloween-friendly watch begins well before than that description suggests.
Unicorn Wars is suited for the hardcore lovers of violence, for fans of graphic films who wish to watch a movie they’ve never viewed until now, and can endure a plot which delivers no restraint.
