The Ideal Pokémon Tales: Z-A Super Form According to the Astrological Sign
The comeback of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited immense enthusiasm across the community. From the gradual reveal of newcomers before the game's release, to players forming firm opinions on the full lineup of Mega Evolutions, there's plenty for enthusiasts to look forward to.
Given numerous of the Mega Evolutions showcasing unique appearances that emphasize their traits, one idea naturally: How can link this with zodiac signs? The following is based on a mix of vibes, common zodiac traits, and personal experience.
Aries – Mega Camerupt
Honestly, Houndour's evolution was nearly chosen for Aries, as both are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that evoke the most fear. But, a Mega Houndoom appears as constantly angry, which isn't typical of the Ram's energy, renowned for being playful, cheerful, and impulsive. That's why Aries far more akin to Super Camerupt, which solely erupts when angered. Stay on the friendly side of both and enjoy a strong ally; if you cross them, prepare to get burned.
The Bull – Mega Heracross
Much like a loyal Bull, the reliable Heracross, whether in its regular and Super Form, has aided many players in Legends: Z-A. Though trustworthy, both the creature and a Taurus are also Fighting types, and – whether it's their trainer or a firm belief – will stand up for their side unwaveringly. The thing about Mega Heracross that reminds me most of my Bull-sign companions, however, is its unashamed love of treats. Many previous Pokédex entries note their fondness for tasty sap and how it employs its horn to collect it all, which is pure Taurus energy.
Gemini – Mega Medicham
Look at this total royalty. It's impossible to tell me this creature is not the life of every party, offering an endless stream of gossip to those who wants to listen. Just like an enrapturing, sociable Twins, it's very easy to envision Super Medicham mesmerizing an entire open area with their stories. This Pokémon's official description also states its capacity to foresee an enemy’s future actions, which seems very similar to a people-smart Gemini.
Cancer – Super Manectric
Cancer is commonly considered as the most emotional member of the astrological wheel, a passionate symbol known for often getting absorbed in their feelings. Per the official info, Super Evolution fills the creature with a “huge amount of electricity, but it's too much for Manectric to fully manage,” which sounds a lot like a typical Cancer emotional outburst. This Pokémon is also recognized for its ability to create a thundercloud over its very head – and if there’s a single trait a Crab is likely to do, it’s rain on their good time.
Leo – Mega Starmie
Oh, did you assume I was going to pick the lion Pokémon for the king of the stars? Aside from the reality that it would be far too obvious, Leo is clearly Super Starmie, the diva whose legs just became an internet sensation for being too fabulous (or terrifying, based on your taste). Fans were captivated from the violet starfish, and that’s exactly the same energy a Leo brings to the table. This Pokémon is also rumored to be broadcasting signals from its center out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Lion to be staging a performance, albeit for aliens.
Virgo – Super Victreebel
The ever-prepared and perpetually-anxious Maiden is perfectly encapsulated in Super Victreebel, the Mega with perpetual digestive issues. The zodiac symbol famous for being endearingly judgmental is clearly reflected throughout this Pokémon’s entire lineage, from a perpetually surprised expression like a Maiden when you inform them you don’t have a 401(k), to its upside-down face that’s similar to the symbol a Virgo posts to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” instead of creating a strategy.
The Scales – Mega Audino
Observe this sweet, sensitive being, who employs the feelers on its auditory organs to detect how people are emotionally by their pulse. Consistently compassionate – occasionally to a detriment – and trying to keep the peace, there are many Scales who would probably appreciate Mega Audino’s abilities. Though, to be frank, it would likely just cause them to worry even more about everyone else.
Scorpio – Mega Banette
This Ghost-type is a creature with a surprisingly tragic backstory: Discarded as a doll, it gained consciousness through pure hatred and swore retribution on its previous caretaker. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That seems exactly like several conversations I’ve had with my intense Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpio adores cosmic justice and retribution, making them the ideal match with Super Banette.
The Archer – Mega Hawlucha
Both Mega Hawlucha and Sagittarians are constantly putting on a performance. Being a Archer myself, the amount of occasions I’ve referred to myself some variation of a “playful small jester” is countless. The showiest and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its description even notes how it “flexes to show off its strength.” I would do the exact same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius counterpart I can think of.
The Goat – Mega Absol
Were you aware that a Super Absol has the ability to foresee disasters in advance? That gives the identical energy as a Goat, who often consistently think they’re right. Interestingly, similar to a visionary Mega Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the absolute initial Mega Evolution that players encounter in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Capricorn to join the beginning of the Super Form craze.
Aquarius – Super Chandelure
Aloof air sign Aquarius is possibly the non-flame placement that is closest to a fire sign – its counterpart is the Lion, and there are numerous jokes about the Archer and Aquarius being chaotic accomplices. Super Chandelure's dual Ghost/Fire typing fits seamlessly with this, and the Mega’s overall daunting presence is also extremely Water Bearer. If you weren’t already convinced, the Mega’s Pokédex entry says it “draws in hatred and converts it into power.” If that doesn’t perfectly {encaps
