The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Soldiers Table

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a wide array of personalities, and a gripping narrative including angels, demons, and dark forces increasing in influence within Dol-Makjar.

Note: Revealing details for the third episode of Campaign 4 lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Unveiled

The third episode finished on a huge suspense moment and revealed the first table of adventurers who will branch out from the central cast to embark on their separate journey, apart from the remaining groups.

The combat-focused team includes Teor Pridesire (brought to life by Travis), the agile character (Laura), the fierce warrior (the cast member), the cleric (the player), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

Given a large ensemble, it was clear from the outset that keeping everyone at the same party would be unworkable.

This explains, the initial installments of this story serve as an Overture, intertwining the personal journeys before branching into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Strategists, and Explorers.

What Defines the Warrior Group

According to the DM, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who prefer a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven story mode where diplomatic options are few and far between.

Initially, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might appear unsuited, but the developments of episode 3 make it clear why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the Soldiers table.

Motivations for Departure

For one thing, the party has a clear idea where to head next after a intense opening clash with the enemy group.

An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose death kicked off the story’s plot—manipulated the enemy for his own means, entering the secret base, assaulting the character, and taking all the enchanted items to sell off.

The traitor then settled his debts and fled to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the urban center, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each character has a personal reason to leave the city Dol-Makjar:

  • Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, seeks retribution.
  • The adventurer has experience in Timmony and warns that it is a dangerous location.
  • Tyranny and Wicander, having resisted his family’s wishes to kill Teor and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
  • Yet, their position as key figures in the powerful family could enable the team access locations they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, The grateful character pledged a life debt to The cleric for his deliverance and will now accompany him wherever.

Wanted and Hunted

In addition, all of them are wanted by the powers that control the city for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The warrior and The cleric betrayed the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
  • The target is targeted for elimination by the clan.

This leaves them no alternative but to head to the northern region in quest for the traitor.

What’s Next?

Based on the recent installment’s follow-up content, we learn that the warrior group will not appear next week, leaving the remaining eight players to form the Explorers and Planners parties.

Viewers can look forward to discovering which characters will be in which group in the story’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on the upcoming Thursday.
